Field's metal is an alloy of tin, bismuth and indium metal. It is an alloy with the lowest melting point known, that isn't toxic. Its melting point is just 60°C / 140°F! low enough to melt in hot water.

It is used as a mini pipe bender ( the pipe is filled with liquid field's metal, it solidifies, the pipe can be bent without collapsing), for die casting, and plain fun!
