Questions & Answers

Q&A; - Most asked:

Question: How much gallium do I need to make one spoon?
Answer: A gallium spoon weighs about 14 grams, but you would need a couple grams more because you won't be able to suck up the whole amount with the syringe. (the gallium will partially stick to the inside of a container). 20 grams is the best option.

Question: Where can I find the prices for the gallium & the mold?
Anwer: You will find them in the left part of the screen, under Products.

Question: Is it safe to use gallium spoons?
Answer: These spoons should be used for demonstration purposes only. Although safe to touch & handle, The spoons should not be used as a prank, where people are tricked in believing the spoon is a real one, as there is a swallowing hazard involved.

After the spoons have become liquid in the cup, the water is unaffected (the water does not dissolve any gallium).
If the spoons are used for the purpose (demonstrations), there are no dangers involved.
